What should I bring to painting class?
Bring your own art materials; this generally includes paint, brushes, a palette, a painting surface (canvas, board or canvas paper etc) gesso, sketchbook, graphite pencil, eraser, apron, palette knife, rags etc
Can I buy art supplies in class?
We have a small art supply store of canvas, brushes, paint and palettes. For new students, 'starter kits' are available on request.
How do I know if I am in the right class level?
The classes are for all ability levels, unless specified as a beginner class. If you are unsure about what the class involves, feel free to contact Kelly on 0439 678 821.
Where are the classes?
Creative Way painting classes are taught at Sherwood Uniting Church in Brisbane. There are also workshops offered at South Maclean, Brisbane, at our home studio on 5 acres of bush. Other special workshops will be held at other specified venues around Brisbane, Logan and the Scenic Rim.
What should I wear?
It's best to wear an apron, and clothes you don't mind getting paint on (just in case). Closed shoes are also a good idea.
I haven't done art for years; is this the right class for me?
Creative Way welcomes you! Many people enjoyed art at school but put it aside because of family, work and life commitments. If you yearn to reconnect with your creativity in a friendly class environment, this is a great place to start. If you are wondering about class numbers or skill level, please contact Kelly.
How do I pay for my class?
EFTPOS in class, or online bank transfer.
What if I cancel my attendance; can I get a refund?
Please refer to our 'terms' page.
